VANCOUVER, April 26, 2006 - The Futura Corporation ("Futura") announces that it now owns 4,080,300 trust units in Tree Island Wire Income Fund (TSX:TIL.UN) (TIL), representing approximately 18.62% of the total outstanding trust units of TIL.

The purchase of the trust units in TIL was made through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange for investment purposes. Futura may from time to time acquire additional trust units of TIL, dispose of some or all of the existing or additional trust units of TIL, or continue to hold the trust units of TIL in the normal course of Futura's investment activities, subject to applicable securities laws.
